How to Promote an Adult Web Site?

People take adult site as illegal and don't prefer to work on it. When I look at a adult sites I take it as my Everest. I agree that promotion of adult sites is very tough but that's the fun. I have done SEO for 5+ adult websites and currently working as affiliate partner of a famous porn site. 

There are two kind of challenges with adult site promotion :

1. No significant mainstream sites run ads for adult websites.
2. No affiliate network/social media platform will allow adult content on the website.

There are tons of other problems as well but their is only one solution for it, "Test, test, test. Test everything."

When we (Me and Vipin) have raised our first adult website project we had tried so many techniques. Some worked, some didn't. Below are few of them, hope they help you as well:

1. Read the case study of Pornhub.com and Guerilla techniques used by it to promote the content.
    
2. Start your own affiliate network and build it with the help of Facebook Groups. I know that you have to work hard, to be the most affiliate-friendly site around. But if you target well you can easily get the subscribers.
   
   
3. Loads of content: Publish mountains of articles, Q&As, Dating tips and columns for potential affiliates to feature as content from a trusted expert on their sites. Plus, as soon as your budget allow, hire one or two sex and relationships expert writers and provides loads of free content.
   
   
4. Collaborate with other adult eCommerce companies and do link-exchange with them.
   
   
5. Send monthly newsletter to affiliates with info on upcoming offers and services so that affiliates would have at least 30 days to prep their marketing campaigns for the next month.

Now, you focus on converting that traffic to buyers …

1. Start a customer council: As soon as the site launched, the registration process began to ask visitors if they'd like to join the advisory council on hookups or dating.
   
   
2. Add more reassuring content: Focus on creating content throughout that educated the people about love, relationships, hookups, dating, sex, toys and what precautions they should take when meeting someone after using your platform
   
   
3. Use an in-house photographer: Shoot good photographs and videos and promote massively on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Pinterest using guerilla techniques.

Last, turn buyers into loyal, ongoing fans …

These are few successful techniques that we tested and got results. I don't like bribing users to come to my websites.
