How to pick your ideal logo design?

You see an apple with a small part taken off and you identify it as the industry apple; you see a ‘m’ and you identify it as Mc’ Donald or you see a uniquely inscribed ‘u’ and you identify it as Hindustan Unilever. This is evident of the indisputable importance and power of a logo design. Your logo will be represents your brand; it is a signature that will be used for creating your brand image. With such a wide scope and importance, a logo it is used everywhere from your product, website, advertisements, pamphlets or brochures if published, or better say, every where you speak about your brand.

In short a logo design is your attractive brand identification.

But do you think your logo design is attractive enough to be remembered by the people or standard enough to represent your high brand values and above all reflect your brand vision?

Which color you want: Every color expresses an emotion and above that it has an aesthetic impact on the users. Choosing the right color may thus help you convey the business strengths and attract the right consumer group for your brand. For instance, green is a refreshing and peaceful color and can thus be an apt choice for herbal product brands and so on.

Match it well with the background: A logo has multiple uses, it represents your brand and must therefore be designed such that it can be used everywhere. Whether it is on the website, on the packaging or on the product itself, it should match well with the background. 

Design and brand name placement: Many brands prefer using a mixed logo, containing both the brand name and the brand mark or design. While the design or monogram forms the main attraction of a logo as a whole, the brand name is used to create a strong brand identity, being an effective branding tool. The brand name must preferably be placed at the prime locations of under or to the right of your logo design for brand recognition.

Big or small: Pick an ideal logo size for everywhere a logo is to be used. For example, if used on a packaging as your trade mark, it must neither be too large to cover up the other essentials of your package nor too small to go away unnoticed. An ideal logo size, while designing, makes sure a quality design for your brand mark.

Does it reflect your brand? : Besides all other considerations, does your logo reflect your brand?  For example, consider the logo of Hyundai, two man shaking hands, reflecting the brand vision of a satisfied consumer. Also consider the logo design of the affiliate marketing site ‘amazon’, with an arrow from the letter ‘a’ to the letter ’z’, meaning providing everything from a to z.

A logo must thus be able to reflect your brand values and it will be remembered just as we remember some of these top logos.
