How to Install macOS or OS X on Chrome Book

their device hardware. So It is tough to install some different OS to some

donât know how to do it, then here are the ways to install macOS on your Chrome
Book.
Process:
- First, you should back up your Chrome Book.
- Then, install the Linux from Ubuntu distribution.
- After that, install the virtual machine on Chrome Book using
Linux.
- Back up Chrome Book.
- Before proceeding further, you need to back up your Chrome
Book. If you are an optimist who believes that nothing will happen to
their data, then it is a good belief, but preparing for the worst is a
good idea. So first, backup your Chrome Book.
Installing
Ubuntu Linux
- For the installation of Linux, you need to open the Chrome OS
developer shell, Crosh.
- Press âctrl + alt+ tââ on the keyboard.
- After this, Crosh will open in a new tab.
- Now, type âshell.â
- Press â& cd~/Downloads?â on your keyboard.
- Now, press âwget in your keyboard.
- Now, type âSudo sh~/Downloads/change-kernel-flagsâ on your
keyboard.
- Press âSudo startunity,â and after this, Ubuntu Linux will be
started.
- Now, open the terminal in the Ubuntu Linux.
- Now, download a script that sets up your headers.
- Now, again type âcd ~.â on the keyboard.
- Type âwget

On the keyboard.
- Press âSudo sh setup-headers.shâ on your keyboard.
Installing the
Virtual Box
- Download the Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) AMD64 VirtualBox for Linux
with the help of your browser.
- Open the download box and select âopen with Ubuntu Software
Centre.
- Tap the Ok button.
- Now, select the install button.
- Now, you have installed the virtue box, now open it in Ubuntu
Linux.
After this, you need to install a new virtual
machine for the following process. These are the steps for creating new virtual
machines:
- Open the VM VirtualBox Manager and select âNewâ in it.
- Name your machine Mac and tap on theâ Nextâ button.
- Now, allocate your VM memory size and tap on the âNextâ button.
- Now, create a virtual disk image.
- Choose the âcreateâ button from the tab.
- Now, tap on âCreate VDIâ and then press the âNextâ button.
- Choose allocated hard disk files and tap on the âNextâ button.
- The last step for this process is selecting the file location.
For that tap on âCreate button.â
VM Settings
- You need to set the âsettingsâ in the Oracle VM VirtualBox
Manager.
- Select the âsystemâ and open âExtended Features,â there you can
check the âhardware Clock in UTC Time and the base memory falls within the
green line.
- Tap on the âAccelerationââ option. Make sure that both the
âEnable VT-x/AMD-Vâ and âEnable Nested Pagingâ are âoffâ.
- In Display, you can use the maximum video memory available.
- In âStorage,â add a drive-in âController: SATAââ and then
select âChoose diskâ to find the location of the Mac ISO file.
Installing the
macOS on Chrome Book
These are the steps for installing the macOS on Chrome Book:
- Open the macOS in the virtual box.this will start the
installation, now go to the Mac toolbar and search and select âDisk
Utilities.â
- Then go to Disk Utilities and open the virtual disk image.
- Choose the âEraseâ option.
- Now, select the format in âmacOS journaled partition. â
- Then, go back to the desktop and select the disk image you have
created.
- After this, you need to reboot your virtual machine and make
sure you remove the disk image (ISO).
