How to Install iPadOS 13.3 Developer Beta on iPad

On November 5, 2019, Apple released the fourth beta version of iPadOS 13.2 for the interested developers. It is currently known as iPadOS 13.3 developer beta 1. How to create an archived backup of your Device?

A backup will help you in restoring your device to the current device in case anything goes wrong. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Connect your iPad to the computer.
  2. Open iTunes.
  3. Press the iPad logo located on the top of the left menu.
  4. Now ensure that backup is select by the “This Computer” option.
  5. Turn on the Encrypted backup option.
  6. Hit the Back Up Now button.
  7. Also, don’t forget to Back up Apps when prompted to do so.
  8. Select Preferences from the left side menu bar.
  9. Head to the Devices tab.
  10. Now control-click on the backup and then click Archive.

Now the backup is successfully created.

Method 1: Installing iPadOS beta 13.3 via iTunes 

Follow the steps mentioned below to install the software using the iTunes:

  1. Open a web browser and then head to the develpoer.apple.com URL.
  2. Go to the Discover tab.
  3. Choose from the available operating systems buttons located on the bar on top.
  4. Press on the Download link.
  5. Now you will be asked to log in to your developer account with your Apple developer credentials.
  6. Once you are logged in, head to the iPadOS beta section.
  7. Click on Download restore Images.
  8. Select the iPadOS restore image for your iPad.
  9. Head to Application on the upper of the list of beta versions.
  10. Hit Download located in the front of Xcode 11.
  11. Wait for a while until the download completes.
  12. Launch the iTunes app in the Applications folder.
  13. Now plug in the iPad to your Mac or PC.
  14. Press on the iPad icon on the top-left side.
  15. If asked to type the password on the iPad, then do so.
  16. Now hold down the Option key and then press the Check for Update option.
  17. Press the Downloads option from the sidebar and then locate the downloaded iPadOS restore image.
  18. Double click on it.
  19. Press the Open button.

Now the firmware of iPadOS 13.3 will be automatically installed to your device.

Method 2: Installing iPadOS Beta Using a Profile 

Before we begin, please note this method is only for those who possess a paid Apple developer account. See the instructions given below to download and install iPadOS 13.3 to your iPad:

  1. Visit developer.apple.com on your iPad.
  2. Open the Discover tab.
  3. Click on operating systems buttons on the top of the display in the bar.
  4. Press the Download button.
  5. Now login to your developer account.
  6. Navigate to the iPadOS 13 beta section.
  7. Press Download and wait until the file downloads completely.
  8. Hit the Close button.
  9. Now visit the Settings of your iPad.
  10. Head to the Profile Download option.
  11. Press Install.
  12. You might be asked to enter the passcode. So simply enter it.
  13. Agree with the Consent form and after that hit Install from the upper right corner.
  14. Press the Install button once more on the bottom of the device display.
  15. Hit the Restart button to access the iPadOS installation file.
  16. Once the reboots, you will need to go to Settings.
  17. Go to General.
  18. Press on Software Update.
  19. When you see the iPadOS update option, press the Download and Install button.
  20. Provide the Passcode.
  21. Hit Agree to the terms and Conditions.
  22. Once more time, tap the Agree button.

Now the device will restart automatically to install the updates. You might notice multiple progress bars of the installation process, and the whole process may consume some time.

Getting Started with iPadOS Beta 13.3

  1. Press the Continue button.
  2. Type the complete Apple ID and password to log in. The iCloud settings may take a minute to refresh the settings.
  3. Once that is done, press Get Started.
