Abide by these instructions to overcome this error:

Resetting Your Printer

Resetting a device fixes most of the issues, especially in print devices.  Follow these simple points to do the same:

  • First and foremost, detach the power cord from the power source having activated mode of the printer.
  • Now, wait for some time up to thirty seconds and then plug the power cable to the printer.
  • Now, the printer will activate on its own. If not, then hit the Power tab located on your printer. In case the issue still persists, then it is recommended to perform these instructions for your PC too.

Modifying DPI Setups

  • First and foremost, expand the worksheet of which you like to take a print.
  • Go to the Page Setup group panel and navigate to the Page Layout section. Now, hit the option “Launcher.”
  • Locate the Print Quality Box by navigating the page tab and choose the resolution that you wish to apply.

Note: DPI Setups are based on the printer type that you are using. In case you don’t know the precise data and then set it to the minimum value.

  • The page that you are going to print may hold higher resolution than the normal that’s why you will need to adjust and modify DPI settings.

Reinstalling Printer’s Driver

If you are facing issues such as resolution not supported, then it might be corrupted printer drivers. In case the issue is definitely related to drivers, then you need to update or reinstall the driver. Here are the procedures to reinstall your drivers.

  • In the beginning, check that your system is running with the recent and updated print drivers.
  • Then, hit the Start menu and search for the Control Panel to expand the relevant page.
  • After that, hit the option “Sound and Hardware.”
  • Now, tap on the “Printers” option there.
  • Next, apply the right mouse click on your desired printer and then choose the option “Run as Administrator.”
  • Hit the Properties tab there.
  • Then, tap on the advanced option.
  • At last, press the option “New Driver” and abide by all the on-display instructions.

Removing and Adding Your Printer to the List

Sometimes, the printers list needs to refresh on your device. To do you, you need to remove the particular printer and, after some time, add it again to the print devices list.

  • Firstly, navigate to System Preferences options.
  • Then, hit the Scanners and Printers option and remove your printer causing issues.
  • Then, wait a bit and then add it again to the printing devices listing. It can be done by hitting the option “Scanners and Printers Preferences.”

In case your printer is not showing in the list automatically, then add it by using the IP protocol of the printer. The printer will use any of the protocols for the printing process from the given list:

  1. IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)
  2. AirPrint
  3. LPD (Line Printer Daemon)
  4. HP Jetdirect (Socket)

Note: In case you are still facing issues, then it is directed to contact the support center or your printer manufacturing company. You may take expert advice by contacting the service support care.
