The Mail application enables you to check and manage the email messages. Mail application is the same as other email apps such as Outlook or Gmail. Through this Mail app, you can receive, send, and reply to an email. But some users reported that they are facing trouble with the Mail app. So, if you want to fix this issue, then here are some directions given below.

Install the Newest Updates

Here are the steps you can follow to install the latest updates:

  1. Hover to the bottom right of the window.
  2. After that, reach the menu that shows select the feature of Settings.
  3. You should click on the option of ‘Change PC Settings.’
  4. Locate in the next screen the option of ‘Update and Recovery’ and select it.
  5. Then locate the button of Check Now and select it.
  6. The checking procedure will take at least 10 minutes, and it will offer you what updates you require to install.
  7. In case you have applicable updates, select the Install updates button for each that is applicable.
  8. Once you install the updates, select the button of Finish.
  9. Later, restart the Windows OS.
  10. Now, once the device turns on, start checking whether the Mail application is working effectively.

Update the MS Store Apps

  3. Then select the Settings option through the menu that shows.
  4. You should locate and select the feature of ‘App Update’ over the list.

Follow the steps given below:

  1. During the Start page of the Windows 8.1 begin writing the pursuing: Command Prompt.
  2. Once complete the search process, press or right-click on the icon of Command Prompt.
  3. You should select the feature of ‘Run as Administrator’ through the menu.
  4. Then type into the screen of Command Prompt screen the pursuing: sfc /scannow.
  5. Hold the button of Enter over the keyboard.
  6. Thereafter, allow the SFC to complete the procedure.

  4. Now, choose the country through the menu of ‘Current system locale’ and then select the OK and Apply buttons to apply the changes.
