But if your computer supports this method, then you can extend the dedicated video RAM of your PC. Let’s see how to use BIOS to increase the amount of your VRAM:

Get to the BIOS menu on your computer. To get here, restart your device and then press the BIOS key according to your device (generally, the BIOS key are: F2, F5, F8, and Delete), and then the BIOS menu will show up.
Now head to the Advanced Features option or something just like it on your device. (the option names may vary according to the different brands and models)
Navigate to the video/ Graphics settings option. (In some devices, “VGA Share Memory Size.)
From there, you can tweak the amount of dedicated VRAM. Generally, the default amount is 128MB, and you can make it up to 256MB or maybe 512 MB if you have an excellent video card.
Save the preferences and exit from the BIOS.

How to Enhance the Dedicated Video RAM via Registry Editor?

Every application uses a different amount of VRAM to run; your computer changes the amount of VRAM according to the application that is running. That is why you can’t believe the actual amount of VRAM just by viewing the display adapter properties. To run a heavy app on your device, your computer requires an extra amount of VRAM. What can you do in such matters? You can simply increase the value of VRAM in the Registry, and this will allow you to run high visuals programs on your computers. You are not increasing the VRAM in reality but just making your device believe that you have a sufficient amount to run a program. Let’s see how to do it:

Launch the RUN dialogue box on your computer. You can do that by pressing Start + R keys together.
Now enter the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel” command in the Run popup.
On the left side menu, do a right-click on the Intel folder.
Select the New option and then press the Key option. Rename the by GMM.
Now go to the new GMM folder situated on the left side navigation menu.
Press the right click of your mouse on the right side window of “Registry Editor” and then choose the New option.
Now select the Dword(32-bit) option and then rename it by “DedicatedSegmentSize.
Open the DedicatedSegmentSize by double-clicking on it and then hit the button with the Decimal option.
Type the value of VRAM in the Value data that you need to run an app.
Ensure that you only type a value between 0 to 512. That means you can’t enter more than 512 MB.
Press the OK button to save the preference.
Then click on the Save button and then reboot your device.

That is how you can upgrade the VRAM of your PC. Kindly note that, you can’t increase the actual VRAM of your computer without making any hardware changes. In both methods, we have only tweaked some settings.
