There are two methods to delete all unread emails from Gmail. You can use Gmail labels and custom filters. Here we will show you how you can use these two solutions.

1) Using Filters

To delete all the messages, first, you need to sure that your keep your important emails in check. There are pretty useful features like “Important” that can be used to identify and secure the mails.

When you have surety that all of your important emails are secure, then you can delete the entire unread message in a couple of minutes.

Here are the steps on how to delete all unread emails in Gmail Using filter:

  1. Launch the desktop version of Gmail and Move to Inbox.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon that appears on the upper right corner on your screen to visit settings.
  3. Move to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” button and then tap on “Create a new filter.”
  4. To view entire unread emails, enter “label:unread” in the “Has the words.”
  5. Now tap on “Create filter” then confirm the making by tapping on “OK” when the menu appears on your screen.
  6. Here you are presented with some features.
  7. To delete entire unread emails, and then check in the next box to “Delete it” as well as you can also tap on “Apply filter to XYZ matching conversations” to delete entire unread emails.
  8. Move to “Create filter” then you need to refresh the page, now you can see all the unread emails deleted from your Gmail.
  9. One important thing that you need to know that the above process will delete your entire unread email as soon as these appear. If you left the filter on, every time you receive all the email, then it will automatically delete. This is remembering to delete because the filter icon is no needed longer.

2) Using Labels Only

If you want a more comfortable and convenient way to delete the entire unread email from Gmail, here you need to enter “label:unread” filter straightforward into the search bar on the Gmail homepage. This will appear in your entire unread email or conversation of the whole folder.

Here you only need to do is checking the “Select All” box that appears on the top-left corner and then tap on the trash icon that appears above your emails. This process will delete your entire emails available on one page. You may check 50 or 100 emails available on a single page, and this is depending on the platform that you are using. Remember that this process will only delete the emails from the current page.

To delete the entire email, tap on “Select all conversations that match this search” button, then whole unread emails will be deleted.
