How to Clean a Canon Ink Absorber?

- First of all, you will need a paper towel and a bowl filled with warm water.
- Now grab the plastic lid present in the middle of your printer and lift it upward so that you can the printer's internal compartment. Then wait for five seconds for the ink carriage to slide over from the right side of the printer.
- Now you will see a rubber frame at the far right end of the printer. Grip that frame and detach it from the device by gently sliding it towards you. Once you have removed the absorber, you can lift it out of the device. Turn off the power and remove the power cable.
- You will now see two foam based ink absorbers. Pull them out of the rubber frames and place them in a bowl filled with warm water and soap and then gently scrub them to remove the absorbed ink.
- To dry these two along with the rubber frame, set these three on a paper towel and wait until it gets dry. Once the moisture is gone, you can set foam ink absorber back into the frames.
- Now take the rubber frame and position it on the right side of the printer. Push it gently until it sets in with a lock. Close the plastic lid.
- After closing it, plug in the power cable and hold down the power button on the printer's control panel. Release this power button and wait for five seconds and tap the button again to reset the printer's ink absorber code.
