How to Clean a BBQ in 8 Steps with End of lease cleaning Perth

by jyoti singh digital marketer

Introduction

The grills at my house are a whopping six years old, and they still work just fine. I think that’s the thing about BBQs: if you care for them well, they can last ages. Still, they do get dirty! The trick is knowing how to clean them safely without damaging them or yourself.

One day while cleaning up after dinner on my property in Perth, Australia (a city called Gosnells), I decided it was time to give our grill a thorough scrubbing — which is when this article came into existence!

Step 1: Turn on the BBQ and let it heat up

Step 1: Turn on the grill to a medium heat and let it heat up for a few minutes. If you have an oven thermometer, check the temperature; if not, just wait until it is hot enough to cook on.

Step 2: While the grill is heating, scrape off any lingering food.

To get rid of any food left behind, put on some gloves or use a spatula to scrape off the grill.

It’s best not to use chemicals here because they can become stuck in the pores of your grill, making it harder for you to clean later on.

Also make sure that you don’t use metal utensils as this will damage your barbecue and may cause burns when cooking later on.

Step 3: Turn off the BBQ and let it cool down slightly.

If there is still coals in the BBQ, turn off the gas and let it cool down slightly. Be careful not to touch the hot metal as it will be very hot.

Step 4: Soak a rag in soapy water, or use specialty cleaning kit.

Soak a rag in soapy water, or use specialty cleaning kit. You can also use a grill brush to scrub the inside of your BBQ.

Step 5: Use a grill brush to scrub the inside of your BBQ.

Now that you’ve removed the grease and debris from your BBQ, it’s time to clean out any remaining dirt with a grill brush.

The inside of your BBQ is where all of the grime tends to collect, so be sure to clean this thoroughly before moving onto another area.

To start, remove all removable parts that may have been removed earlier in this process (such as the burner plates). Then use a grill brush to scrub the inside of your BBQ with warm soapy water and rinse well afterward. Repeat these steps until all parts have been cleaned thoroughly with soap and water. Be careful not to damage any seals or rubber gaskets while doing this step!

Step 6: For stubborn grime, try a commercial cleaner.

We recommend using a commercial cleaner to remove stubborn grime. Commercial cleaners are safe for the environment and easy to use. They will also leave your BBQ looking clean and shiny, making it ready for its new owner!

Step 7: Use a grill brush to scrub the outside of your BBQ.

Scrubbing the outside of your BBQ will be a bit easier than scrubbing the inside. Make sure to get into all the corners and areas around where food gets stuck under and around the grill plates.

Use an old cleaning rag and some soapy water if you have one handy, or use dishwashing liquid directly on the brush itself if that’s more convenient for you. If there are any stubborn stains, use a wire bristle brush to get rid of them before moving onto step 8!

Step 8: Admire your work, and then throw a party!

Now you’re ready to throw a party. You cleaned your BBQ, and it looks great. So now what? Have some friends over and enjoy your clean BBQ with delicious food!

You could make a few different kinds of meat on the grill, or maybe invite people over for a raw seafood barbeque with oysters, prawns, and kingfish. If you want something more low-key, try making some stir-fry dishes in sizzling hot woks on top of the barbecue. Get creative with sauces and garnishes — everyone will love it!

You can clean your grill without chemicals!

To clean your BBQ without chemicals, you can use a grill brush to scrub the inside of your BBQ. This will help remove any stuck-on food and grime. You can also use a commercial cleaner to clean the outside of your BBQ as well as any accessories that you have. For example, if you have an ashtray or utensils for cooking on the grill, these need regular cleaning too!

If all else fails, consider getting a new BBQ if it is looking pretty dirty or damaged from years of use. You might even be able to sell it online for some extra cash!

Conclusion

You’ve done it! With eight simple steps you can clean your BBQ and throw a party. Cleaning is not only good for your health, but also reduces the risk of bacterial contamination when cooking food on the grill. This method also works well with other types of grills such as ovens or deep fryers too.
