Smart strategies to Claim Foursquare listing: Choose us for advanced tips and solutions
Foursquare is a mobile-based global community platform, which is largely dedicated towards localized search and discovery. By providing personalized experiences and local listings, it helps in finding the place which you were looking for. The platform is even well-equipped with city guide, through which you can check out the reviews and ratings for the listings. This platform is used by over 50 million users worldwide for connecting with the consumers. Thus, if you have a storefront or own any local business, chances are there that you might already have a listing on Foursquare.

Why should you claim Foursquare listing?
If you are the authorized manager of a listing on Foursquare, then you can claim a listing of your own there. Then, you will be able to keep up-to-date information and make edits to your listing as a manager. Even, you will be able to create and manage specials and ads, view customer statistics and add photos to your profile.

Step-by-step guidance on how to claim Foursquare listing:
Foursquare is different as here, you don't have to set up a listing for your business, unlike other social channels. But it's important to claim Foursquare listing for your business so that as soon as someone writes a review about your products or shop or when someone checks in, a listing is created. You need to follow these steps to claim Foursquare listing:

Step 1: Make a visit to Foursquare's Claim page
  • First, you have to find the official website of Foursquare, i.e., foursquare.com and visit it.
  • Then, enter your Business name along with either city, state or country and search for your business there

Step 2: Claim Foursquare listing
You can do this if and only if Foursquare has its business on their system already. Then only you will be allowed to claim the listing. So, before you begin the process, you have to sign up to your Foursquare account and then log in to this account.

After you have logged in to your Foursquare account and entered your business name, you need to scroll down and click on the ‘Claim it now’ on the right side.

On the other hand, if your business isn't on Foursquare, you will not be able to log in into your Foursquare account. In that case, you’ll be prompted to create one and then sign up to this account. But one should remember that this account can be for a particular person and not for any business.

Step 3: Verify your business on Foursquare
  • After you have logged in into your Foursquare account, you are required to check the box in order to verify whether you are the owner of the business or you are working on behalf of the owner of the business.
  • Then, you have to click on "Get Started."
  • As soon as you click on it, Foursquare will ask you for the phone number of your business for verification procedure.
  • It will give you a call at that very moment to verify whether it's you or not. Thus, it is required that you need to be at your business when you claim your listing.
  • Foursquare will send out an email verification to the address listed on the account, after the confirmation of your phone number. It will complete the verification process.
Once the listing verification is completed, you will be able to access your business account easily. But there will be a lot of hoops to jump through because Foursquare doesn’t want anyone to claim a listing and pretend to be a business.
