How to Block and Unblock a person on Snapchat

Social apps are a great way to share your adventures with your friends and family but if someone irritating or harassing you then blocking them is the best and easy way to get rid of them. You can block and unblock a person on Snapchat as many times as you want.

Follow the below steps to block and unblock a friend or stranger from your Snapchat account,

How to Block your Snapchat Friend

1.    Open the ‘Snapchat’ app.

2.    Type your Snapchat username and password for login, if you aren’t logged in.

3.    And hit ‘Login’ button.

4.    Open ‘Account profile’ by simply swiping down on the camera screen.

5.    Touch on the ‘My Friends’ option near the bottom of the screen to see your friends.

6.    Scroll through My Friends to find the friend you want to block.

7.    Long touch on the name of the friend to select. This will prompt a dialog box.

8.    Open the ‘Settings icon’ present at the top-right corner of the dialog box.

9.    Now, tap on ‘Block’.

10.    Again tap ‘Block’ on the confirmation dialog box to confirm blocking.

11.    Choose a reason for blocking the person from ‘Let us know your reason for blocking them?’ pop-up box.

Now, Your Snapchat friend will be blocked. He or she will be no more able to connect with you on Snapchat.

How to Block a Stranger contacted you on Snapchat

1.    Open ‘Snapchat’ app.

2.    If you are not already logged in, type your Snapchat username and password for login.

3.    And hit ‘Login’ button.

4.    Select the ‘Chat icon’ at the lower-left corner of the screen. Doing this will open your chat list here you’ll get the person you’ve chatted to or sent the message to you.

5.    Scroll down under conversations to find the person you want to block.

6.    Press & hold on the name of the person to block from your Snapchat account.

7.    Click ‘Settings icon’ at the top-right corner of the dialog box.

8.    Now, hit on ‘Block’.

9.    Again hit ‘Block’ on the confirming dialog box to confirm blocking.

10.    Choose a reason for blocking the person from ‘Let us know your reason for blocking them’ pop-up box.

Now, the person you have selected will be blocked. He or she will be no more able to connect with you on Snapchat.

How to Unblock someone from your Snapchat account

1.    Open the ‘Snapchat’ app.

2.    Log in with your Snapchat account, if you aren’t logged in.

3.    Touch on the ‘Profile icon’ at the top-left corner of the camera screen.

4.    Now, press on ‘Settings icon’ at the top-right corner.

5.    Scroll down to the ‘Account Actions’ section. It is near the bottom of the page.

6.    Tap on ‘Blocked’ under Account Actions heading. Here you’ll see a list of blocked persons.

7.    Tap the ‘Close (X) button’, right to the name of the person you want to unblock.

8.    Confirm by tapping ‘Yes’ on the ‘Are you sure you want to unblock this Snapchatter’ written in the pop-up box. The person will be unblocked successfully, and he or she will be able to contact you again on Snapchat.
