The master name list is the list of computers’ jobs,
employees, vendors, and other names. There are different ways to re-sort them.
From the banking menu

The user needs to move to the banking menu and
select write check
·
After that, the user tap on the pay to the order
of field and press Ctrl + L keys on the keyboard

And then, check the include inactive checkbox.
In case the checkbox is grayed out, there are no inactive names

The next step is to select the name dropdown and
then select re-sort list

After that hit ok tab

Lastly, close QuickBooks company file and reopen
