Our Society would not have been the same, as it is today if there was no law. People would have leaded their lives, the way they wanted to be. Law sets limitations in the form of rules and regulations and one is bound to follow that. Persons violating these rules receive strict punishment either in the form of sentencing or some other harsh punishment. On the other hand, it also helps all the persons who knock its doors for justice.

Law is applicable in every important areas of life. This is due its strict presence that people are able to live peacefully in the society. Every country has got its own set of laws and they vary from each other, but the primary purpose is to help all the members of the society to get a fair judgment. It is impartial towards any individual or castes and gives its judgment independently.

At times, the law also makes certain amendment, in order to adapt itself to the society. Whether it is marriage, business or property one cannot ignore its importance. So let us take a look on the role that law plays in our everyday lives.

Marriage: Law sets certain restrictions in terms of age for both genders and does not issue a legal marriage certificate if they do not comply with the rules. It arranges all the legal documents related to marriage and help couples to register it or go for a registry marriage. On the other hand, it also scrutinizes a divorce case very carefully and even gives both the partners a second chance to settle their differences. It deals with various other serious issues like same gender marriage, inter-caste marriage and gives its judgment over the same.

Business: Before commencing a business, it is necessary to have certain legal documents such as the Memorandum of Association or the Articles of Association. These documents contain all the rules that are to be followed before starting a business. All these are issued by law which gives them the right to commence their business. Moreover, there are accounting rules that are set which a businessman has to adhere to or else a strict punishment is given to all those who violate it.

Property: This is one of the most important areas where law plays a vital role. Most of the time we see disputes on land or any other kind of fixed asset between family members left by the elders. This sometimes creates a chaos and ultimately leads to a big problem. The property rights law takes in to account various factors such as the right to sell, transfer, exchange, or mortgage and hence gives the legitimate transfer to the appropriate person.
