Epson is a famous company that designs devices used for printing and scanning. It provides high-quality printing and scanning. Sometimes these Epson devices show an error that is "Service required". Due to this error, it becomes impossible for the user to print more pages through the device. Here are the reason and guidelines for resolving this "Service Required" error:

Here is the easiest way to resolve this "Service required" error and continue your printing working using the Epson printer:

  • You need to first download the Epson adjustment program.
  • Now, open the downloaded file and run Adprog.exe.
  • Click Select in the downloaded Epson adjustment program.
  • Select the model name of your printer now. Click OK.
  • Click on the "Particular adjustment mode" option.
  • Now select "Waste ink pad counter" from the Maintenance list. Click OK.
  • Select "Main pad counter".
  • Click on the "Check" option present at the bottom right corner of the page.
  • As soon as you click the Check option, the screen will show you the number of printouts you have taken from the printer. It will also show you the usage in percentage.

Now you know the issue so follow the steps given below to resolve it:

  • Again click on the "Main pad counter" and select the "Initialize" option.
  • Click OK in the pop-up box.
  • Now a new pop-up box will appear asking for turning off the printer. Click OK in the pop-up box.
  • Click OK in the new pop-up box which will ask you to reboot the printer.
  • Again select the Main pad counter and click the Check option.
  • If both point and percentage show a zero, then the issue has been resolved. Click on the Finish option now.
