Remember to buy some of the local products of the region, such as olives, organic olive oil, wine, honey, rusks, tsipouro etc. You also have to taste the homemade sweets "Almond" and "Ravani", they will definitely make your visit to Galaxidi even more unforgettable. 

Alevromoutzouromata is one of the famous customs of Galaxidi that take place on Clean Monday (the first day of Great Lent throughout Eastern Christianity). This is a tradition initiated by the inhabitants of the naval state, and the idea of introducing flour milling came from sailors who travelled to Sicily and had seen similar customs in the area. This annual tradition is also known as the Flour War. Probably one of the best times of the year to head to Galaxidi, perfect season combination if you want to enjoy a bit of skiing on Parnassos Mountain nearby.
