In Ayurveda, the seeds, roots, stems, leaves, and flowers of power herbs and medicinal plants are used to yield such an herbal formulation that targets the root causes of Parkinson disease and heal the body from within. As per Ayurvedic experts, there are many traditional medicines used for the treating Parkinson that are a perfect amalgamation of various herbs that has more potential of healing diseases when blended as compared to a single use of any herb or plant.

When it comes to long-term Ayurvedic treatment for Parkinson in India, mucuna plant holds special significance as it contains levodopa which increases the levels of dopamine in the brain and helps in improving the motor symptoms of Parkinson.

The nervine herbs such as Brahmi and Gotu Kola are also proven effective to reduce tremors and relaxing rigid muscles one experiences when inflicted with Parkinson disease.

On the other hand, the ingestion of certain Indian herbs such as Sarpagandha, which is present in several antipsychotic drugs, can also aggravate the Parkinson’s condition by adding to the functional disturbance of dopamine on the brain.
