•    Always use high quality commercial potting that is made with rich organic matter or ceramic for better growth.
•    For fastening the growth of the plant mix the potting with natural compost.

Temperature requirement for growing guava plants
•    These are drought and temperature resistant.
•    The ideal temperature for germinating seeds is 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
•    Temperature below 3 degrees Celsius can affect the young guava plant.
•    Plants above 3 years of age can bear -6 degrees Celsius temperature.

Watering instructions:
Guava plants don’t need frequent deep watering. During warm weather water this plant two to three times per month, deeply. During the winter months, guavas are drought resistant, so water after 2-3 days.

Instructions with Fertilisers to be used:
Application of fertilizer rich in potash or potassium keeps the plant healthy and increases the fruit yield. Spreading fertilizer among the root area of the tree and working it around the base of the tree is advised. The tree needs to be fertilized 3 to 4 times a year at equal time intervals. Fertilizing is not advised in cooler climates and late seasons, as the tree's growth and subsequent fruiting at this stage may damage the plant.
