Cosmo Films is one of the leaders and pioneers in the field of packaging and lamination industries. It is a globally renowned brand. With a team of thorough professionals the company strives for achieving the best in the industry. It sets the benchmarks for itself and successfully reaches and crosses them. Everytime a new benchmark is set the research and development team makes sure that it is achieved. Cosmo Films is a highly recognized name in the industry for bringing about constant innovation not only in the products segment but the processes also. It has a huge and loyal base of customers who are satisfied with the quality of services being offered to them. The BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) Films has enabled the products of their customers to be known as big brands today. It is commonly used in candy wrap papers, chips, multi vitamin packaging. The heat sealable films come under the category of BOPP films. These films find their application in the products which are used in daily and routine operations. Their sole purpose is not only sealing and heating but are used for overwrapping or sealing of fruits and vegetable packs, pre-packaged foods with strong smell. These films have one- side sealable external surface. This surface has excellent barrier properties. The film is easy to use and has the self- sealing property with raw or natural surfaces, PDdC, PCV, paper and aluminium foil. This indirectly leads to the reduction and lowering of the manufacturing cost. Its direct implication would be there on the increased productivity levels. The various types are:
1. Metalized
2. Pigmented
3. Pouch/ Lidding
4. Overwraps/ Twist Wraps
5. Anti-fog film
The metalized films range from 18-40 micrometre in thickness. The yield provided by them is in the range of 36.83-91.39 m2per kilo grams. The majority of the films are one side metallised, and the other side is low temperature heat sealable BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) Films. The pigmented films are available in pigmented, taint and opaque colour material. This film beautifies the product and designs being used. A standard colour pigment or a high gloss pigment which can hide the flaws, both are available. They are used to pack cheese blocks, poultry products, fresh, processed and frozen meat. The pouch/ lidding films range from 12-75 micrometre in thickness. The yield provided by them falls in the range of 19.04- 78.43m2per kilo grams. The over wraps/ twist wrap films thickness lies in the range of 18-40 micrometre with a yield offered between the range of 27.62- 61.39 m2per kilo grams. The thickness of anti-fog lies in 20-40 micrometre. The yield ranges between 27.62- 55.25 m2per kilo grams. The temperature range of these films lies between -40 to 204 degrees Celsius. These results have been attributed to the in house tests conducted by the company.
