Cardiovascular activity, like sports, is extremely beneficial for teenagers because their growing bodies need the kind of physical exercise that they can do on their home basketball court. There is a list of benefits that a teenager can gain from physical exercise. These are some reasons why parents should get their children involved in sports.

Regular exercise can keep bones strong through resistance on the bones it encourages bone growth and development. WebMD reported that “studies show that resistance and strengthening exercises also boost bone mass and keep muscles strong.” Along with bone health, muscle development is important in maintaining overall health. Each pound of muscle will burn that many more more calories a day, which will lead to better overall cardiovascular health.

Exercise improves blood circulation, this can help the body detoxify. It can also help bring vital nutrients to the skin, which can improve a teenager’s complexion. Getting a teenager to play outside at a home basketball court will improve their body’s health by improving the teen’s kidney functions.

Increasing cardiovascular activity through play on a home basketball court can help lower a teenager’s stress levels. Exercise helps lower a person’s heart rate, relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. This leads to an overall sense of calm and well-being.

WebMD reported that “regular exercise reduces symptoms of mild to moderate depression and enhances psychological fitness. Exercise can even produce changes in certain chemical levels in the body, which can have an effect on the psychological state.” When teens participate in physical activity their body releases endorphins, which boosts mood and give the teen positive feelings. Helping your child participate in sports will help them have a happier and more positive adolescent experience.

Studies have also shown that regular exercise can help the brain respond quicker. The increased blood flow to the brain helps increase the amount of oxygen and nutrients it receives, which increases its overall health and function. This can improve a teenager’s performance in class by helping them learn and retain information better. They will be more focused and attentive in the classroom.

Investing in a home basketball court will improve a teenager’s health through encouraging them to participate in regular exercise. The child will have better bone and muscle health, improved circulation and their bodies will function cleaner. Cardiovascular activity will lead to improved feelings of happiness and decrease stress and depression. Physical activity will also improve a teenagers brain function.
