While four wheelers are known to move the body, two wheelers are popularly known for moving the soul. Indians across the country as well as people across the world are known to be drawn to these two wheelers for not only the convenience that they offer, but also for the adrenaline rush that is accompanied with them. Known to also be the lifeline of middle class Indians as well as rich boys’ toys there are many different models of bikes as well as super bikes which are known to dominate the roads.

Masculine Bikes 

There are many different types of two-wheelers in the country. Some of them include mopeds, motor cycles, scooters and super bikes. Common bikes in the country include Hero Karizma, Bajaj Pulsar, Yamaha Fazer, Suzuki Hayabusa, Hero Honda, and Honda Unicorn. However, there are also many superbikes which many bike enthusiasts own. These powerful engine bikes include such brands as Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj KTM duke, Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Ducati 848, Honda CBR250R, Hyosung GT650 and Suzuki Intruder M1800R.

However, one of the most popular names when it comes to bikes is Harley Davidson. Also abbreviated as H-D or Harley, this American motorcycle manufacturer is well-known for having survived the Great Depression, during World War II.  Classic Harley-Davidson engines are known for having V-twin engines; each having a 45 degree angle between the cylinders.

2013 saw the entry of many different bikes in the Indian market. Some of the masculine bikes of 2013 include Kawasaki Ninja 300, BMW S1000RR HP4, Victory Judge, Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two, Honda NC700X, Ducati Monster 696 Anniversary, Yamaha Super Tenere, Moto Guzzi V7 Racer, Suzuki SVF 650 and Zero S.

Other than merely riding a bike for the sheer sense of enthusiasm, bikes are extremely popular for the competition that is involved of motorcycling. A sport in itself, many people sheerly enjoy the pleasure of going for high-speed, long drives on their bikes.

Many people prefer to use their bikes especially when going for short week-trips or short excursions from the city. Some of the popular places where rising motorcycles in India include South India; especially the backwaters, Rajasthan, Ladakh, the Himalayas where there is the highest motorable road, Nepal and Bhutan. Of course there are many other popular places as well. In fact, riding a bike is especially popular in places such as Goa or other remote parts of the country.  Although there are places which are known for being popular areas where bike riding is enjoyed it is extremely popular throughout the country.
