Halloween Movies to Make Your Halloween Night Unforgettable

Watching movies is the best way to pass the time, and most people love doing it. Some people love science fiction movies, some love action-thriller movies, and some love comedy movies. But when we talk about Halloween movies, we become a little scared as well as very enthusiastic. Horror movies are always mind-blowing, and nothing is better than watching these movies on Halloween night or in October, as it’s the month of Halloween. For all the movie lovers and people who are very excited for Halloween, we have brought a list filled with a bunch of Halloween movies that you can watch and make this Halloween unforgettable. Here we go!


Halloween (1978)

Halloween is one of the greatest names in the Halloween horror movie genre, as the title shows, the movie was released in the year 1978, and it has led to 12 sequels. It is a very scary movie. In the movie, you will see a serial killer named Michael Meyers, who somehow manages to escape a sanitarium and starts killing people. He on Halloween night in 1978 murders several teenagers and that incident terrifies everyone in the town. The story of the movie is really good, and it’s undoubtedly a great movie to watch on Halloween night.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Hocus Pocus is a fantastic movie directed by Kenny Ortega. The story of the movie revolves around three villainous but very hilarious witches. The movie is very entertaining, and you are going to love this.

Beetlejuice (1998)

Beetlejuice is the story of a couple who dies and become ghosts. Their goal is to scare away the new owners of their former house. It is quite decent and worth watching.

Halloweentown (1998)

Halloweentown is an excellent movie with an outstanding screenplay and storyline. The movie starts with three siblings who are going to their grandmother’s home in Halloweentown. They all reach the destination and find that they come from a family of witches. Marnie is the eldest sibling who gets to know on her 13th birthday that she is a witch, and she has to save the world from an evil threat. I would strongly recommend that you should watch this movie.

Scream (1996)

The movie revolves around a mysterious masked serial killer who wants to kill a high school student named Sidney Prescott and he does a lot of things to accomplish his mission. I can not tell you much more about the movie; otherwise, it will spoil your fun, so go and watch it. The movie is truly amazing, and it has three sequels along with a TV series.

Ghostbusters (1984)

The movie starts with three parapsychologists a.k.a. ghost hunters. They live in New York City and start a ghost-catching business in the city and the story proceeds. It is an outstanding movie filled with a lot of action sequences along with Halloween twists and funny elements.

Casper (1995)

Casper is a pretty amazing movie with a fantastic storyline and screenplay. The movie revolves around a young ghost named Casper who is peacefully living in a mansion in Maine, and one day a specialist arrives who can communicate with Casper and other spirits. The specialist has a daughter whose mother is dead, and she needs a friend. Casper meets the man’s daughter and falls in love with her. It is a family Halloween film and the ultimate choice to watch on Halloween night with your family.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)

The movie is based on the 1820 short story of Washington Irving. The movie starts with Johnny Depp who is playing the role of a police officer named Ichabod Crane. He lives in New York City and is sent to the village of Sleepy Hallow to solve a mysterious case. Ichabod Crane has to investigate a series of murders happening in the village and find a mysterious headless horseman. The movie is very entertaining, and you should watch it.

Along with all the above-mentioned Halloween movies I would like to recommend some other movies too namely A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Hotel Transylvania (2012), The Craft (1996), Scooby-Doo (2002), Edward Scissorhands (1990), Corpse Bride (2005), and The Addams Family (1991).
