Great Wedding Anniversary Ideas under Budget

by Alana Dicknut Writer

Many married couple must have been in the similar situation before, the anniversary is coming up and you’re running on a budget- whatever the reason maybe. And you need some inexpensive wedding anniversary ideas.

Remember that anniversaries are never about money - they're about memories.

When you're planning on how to go about spending your anniversary without spending a lot of money, think low-key and yet romantic; something that will touch your partner, something that shows that you care, something personal. For instance, what if you and your sweetheart spent the afternoon doing what you were doing on the day you met or got engaged? Were you at a party? Walking in the park or at the beach? Relive those moments step by step.

And here are few more ideas to make the day special for you:

  • Plan a picnic with your beloved in a park. If you have kids, take them along, have your favourite meal and wine, enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.
  • A walk in the park or zoo is lovely way to connect with the nature and surroundings. Feed the animals, take photographs, play some games, and have a good time with each other.
  • Visit a museum- especially if you’re interested in the heritage and history of your city. Explore museums, they’re quite and there’s so much to learn about your city and country.
  • Visit an art exhibition and gain some inside perspective of what your partner thinks about everything through the paintings. It can be a fun way to interact and get to know each other more than usual.
  • Go to a music concert of your favourite musician, band, etc.
  • One of my personal favourite is a long drive in the city or out of city, turn on some music, you and your partner, enjoying the moment.
  • Go for a nice dinner, if you both are working that day and rejuvenate yourself by going clubbing after the dinner.
  • Have breakfast in bed.
  • Write a love letter or a personalized note. Keep it simple; just tell them that you appreciate the things they do for you.
  • Record a video with your cell phone or camera and send it to them with your personal message.
  • Recreate your first date, by visiting the same restaurant, or diner, wherever you met.
