Google recently announced on its Twitter handle that a new May 2020 core update is rolling out. This broad core update is based on the “Content”. It will have a significant impact on all search results, which means it impacts a lot of sites. So all the Digital Marketing Companies should design the websites based on Google’s Update.

One Big Conception in people is if our website has high DA, PA ,Google updates will not change their rankings. But this is not true Algorithm updates definitely alter the rankings.

Significance of January 2020 Core Update
This Core update is based on Thin Content, if you have not updated your website then you are going to see fluctuations in SERP rankings, though you have a good Domain Score.

Measures to recover if a core update hits your website

  1. If the content is not fresh, either delete the page and 301 redirect it to the most relevant URL on the site.

  2. Make the article attractive and informative by adding Images, Infographics and Videos.

  3. Find Broken Links and resolve them since they create bad user experience.

  4. Find the articles who rank in the top and check what we are not doing

  5. Don't Use complex words, make it simple, precise and easy to understand.

  6. Fix your thin content : Report says On an average, 46% of the websites have at least one page that is thin in content. These sites may get impacted by the latest algorithm update.

  7. Fix SEO Errors : SEO Errors hurt sites more than anything. Many sites have duplicate meta tags, if you have more duplicate meta tags, it usually creates problems and effect ranking.
