Tudor Age was the era of elegance in England. The lavish lifestyle of royal families, nobles and aristocrats, gained huge popularity. The reflection of the extravagance could be witnessed everywhere. There was another section in the society during the Tudor period, which we know as pirate community. This was the community of sea robbers, which used to live on the ships up to several months. Such people would loot the rich merchant’s ships, so they used to live the lavish lifestyles. The pirates used to eat the fresh and lavish food in the first few weeks of their voyage. But, as the time would pass, the food used to start spoiling, so they had to eat dry beans, pickled food and salted meal etc. Some of the pirate crews had the expert cooks, who were able to recover the tastes of spoiled cuisines through herbs and spices.
The meal of the Tudor times can be tasted today also at several food hubs. These cuisines are liked by a lot of people in today’s scenario also.
