Follow the steps to
troubleshoot the Outlook issues:
Step 1: Check the offline
mode
Connection issues are faced
when your Outlook account is set to offline mode. Fix the issue by clicking the File menu
and then uncheck the Work Offline option. Now as you click on
the offline option, you would see the Trying to connect.... message
at the bottom of the window. If it connects, then the issue is resolved.
Step 2: System Restart
Restart the system and open
Outlook newly again to resolve the issue.
Step 3: Rebuild your
Outlook account
Connectivity issue is also
caused by the data types (i.e. .pst and .ost) used by Outlook. Look into the
steps to fix the issues:
- Open Control
Panel by closing the Outlook account.
- Click on
the Mail icon and then click on Data Files.
- Now select the
data files from the list. Next click on Open File Location.
- Find the data
files and rename the extension from .ost to .OLD. If the extension is
.pst, don’t replace it.
- Now open your
Outlook account again and see if the issue is resolved.
Step 4: Repair install
Run the repair
installation of Microsoft Office which can fix the Outlook connection
issue.
- Click Programs
and Features from the Control Panel.
- Find and select
the Microsoft Office installation.
- Click Change.
- Now select Repair from
the window that appears.
- Click Continue to
move forward.
- Reboot your
system as the repair is completed.
- You can restart
the Outlook now.
Step 5: Create a new
profile
You have tried every
possible troubleshooting to fix the Outlook issue but failed? It is recommended
to delete the trouble causing profile and re-create a new profile in Outlook.
