It is an established fact IVF has 40-50 percent of success rate. Some couples find it shocking after their IVF cycle fails in the first attempt. Every couple believes that they will hear good news about pregnancy and looking forward to welcome their child. However, not all couples are fortunate enough who go for IVF to achieve successful pregnancy in the initial attempt.

The utmost reality is that all IVF cycles does not result positive pregnancy, sometimes IVF fails despite all the efforts put by fertility doctors and embryologists. It is hard for the patients to accept the reality. When IVF cycles, a patients undergoes depression and we encourage all patients to take part in our free follow-up consultation when they feel they are ready. We also understand how difficult it is for a couple to cope up with the subsequent situation after IVF fails. However, the meeting with our team can guide or discuss openly what may have gone wrong.

There are a number of reasons why IVF fails to result positive pregnancy and it is significant to understand and analyse the circumstances during the failed IVF cycle. Whatever the reasons, your follow-up consultation is a vital part of the process in comprehending these shortcomings.

It is not always our follow-up questions are used to encourage patients to arrange another cycle. If we consider that a new cycle will not bring a positive result then we will not suggest it. But, if our findings advise that a new cycle may be successful, particularly following some changes to the way things were done before, then we will talk about this as a future option.
