Ramadan is a muslim festival, which starts in half of June month and continue till half of July month. Ramadan is all about sacrifice and hard living. Rules and regulations play an important role during ramadan festival. As much as you follow ramadan rules, you will deserve better. This year, Ramadan 2015 had started from 18th June 2015 and continue till 16th or 17th July 2015.  Here I want to share some Ramadan rules of fasting.

Intention

You need to have more intention to fast before fajr (dawn) every night during the month of Ramadan

Avoid Negative Acts
Avoid those acts that are sinful or they devalue the meaning of fasting.

Drinking or Eating During Ramadan
If you drink or eat by mistake, your fast is still remain valid. If you drink or eat continuously then your fast is not valid.

Vomiting
If someone vomits unintentionally, his/her fast is still valid. If someone do vomit for any reason, then fast becomes invalid.

Sexual Intercourse

Sexual Intercourse is prohibited during Ramadan festival. If someone do sexual Intercourse intentionally, then he must perform kaffaarah (Fasting continuously for sixty days or if unable, feed sixty poor people) to repent for his/her sin.

Menstrual or Childbirth Bleeding

Menstrual or Childbirth Bleeding goes to invalidation during Ramadan. That day must be made up at the end of Ramadan.

Actions Should be Followed During Ramadan Fasting

1. Taking a shower: Taking a shower is allowed for any reason.

2. Rinsing the mouth and nose: Swallowing water is not allowed though.

3. Applying eyeliner or eye drops.

4. Taking injections for any reason.

5. Accidental consumption such as swallowing your saliva or dust or sifted flour.

6. Using toothpaste or mouthwash is allowed as long as don’t swallow.

7. Tasting food with the tongue is allowed.

8. Ramadan rules kissing: It is allowed to kiss and embrace your own spouse.

9. Drawing blood from body for any reason.

10. Being in a state of janaabah.
