intriguing Jaisalmer Fort in its background, the festival brings to you
glorious past of the state.
Summer Festival in Mount Abu:
The summer festival is organized in the month of May
every year in the only hill station, Mount Abu. The tranquil as well as
beautiful town of Mount Abu with its pleasant climate and dazzling lakes make
for the perfect city to organize this festival. It is a three day festival
which focusses on tribal life, tradition and rich culture of Rajasthan.
Camel Festival in
Bikaner:
Organized every year in the months of January and
February, it is dedicated to camel, the ship of the desert. It is one of its
kinds of festival where all you will get to see is camels, just camels, and no
other cattle. The festival commences with the procession of ornamented as well
as decorated camels. Owners of camels decorate them with ornaments such as
necklaces and anklets, to name a few.
Travelers can enjoy spectacular show of different
performances such as camel rides, camel dances, and tug of war and camel races
followed by folk dance and music performances. The vibrant colors of this
festival catch the fancy of tourists from different parts of the globe. With Junagarh Fort as the backdrop, attending
Camel Festival is an experience in itself.
