The sun is an amazing star that the Earth quite literally relies on to survive. It is at the center of the Solar System and provides power and energy for life on Earth. Many people are using solar power from the sun to live more efficient and affordable lifestyles. With so many great benefits that the sun has to offer, it is no wonder why there are so many awesome songs about it.

Here are eight songs that are inspired by, or at least mention, the sun:

This song was one of the biggest one-hit wonders of the 90s. It was released in the summer of 1999 by the band Len, which is made up of Marc and Sharon Costanzo, a brother-sister duo from Canada.

Even though the meaning behind this song is very ambiguous and probably has nothing to do with solar power, it is still a great indie-rock anthem which pays tribute to the sun.

Island in the Sun

An island in the sun sounds like the best place for solar power. This song is easily one of Weezer’s biggest hits. To quote the band, “Hep, hep.” Enough said.

Here Comes the Sun

A Beatles classic, this song is an optimistic and hopeful tune about making it through a rough time and into a better day.
