Effective Skincare for Night and Day

by Kristen White Blogger

Creams that you use for the face must be made of as many natural ingredients as possible. With more chemicals, the chances of reactions on your face always increase. Do not just choose day and night creams on the basis of advertising promises; check for product reviews and references.

Every day in the life of a woman is different and runs as per its own rhythm. This is one of the main reasons why a woman requires skin care. Demands from day and night are generally different, and you can speak to a skin expert and find the one that suits your lifestyle best.

Day vs. Night

The face needs a lot of protection and moisture in the day, which translates into moisturizing ingredients in the night. Day creams have several antioxidants which are able to neutralize free radicals and provide protection from oxidative stress. In case you are outside for a long time during the day, get day cream with a sun protection factor.

Before sleeping at night, you will need to cleanse the face thoroughly and then apply night cream to the face and neck. This cream is richer and is instrumental in rejuvenating your skin. Unlike day creams, they do not require sun protection factors. During sleep, the skin undertakes heavy lifting, which enables night cream to provide healthy skin and reducing ageing signs. These creams have a greater concentration of ingredients such as peptides and strong actives like Retinol. Also, contrary to popular belief, these creams are helpful for both men and women.

What happens if you reverse the creams?

A night cream used during the day will make you skin feel greasy and will not give it protection from the sun. Similarly, a day cream applied in the night will not give the entire range of moisturizing and anti ageing ingredients to the skin, though it will provide nourishment. This is the reason why dermatological experts do not recommend the creams being reversed.

For a person who does not want to have both options, he or she can start looking for day & night cream. This is a way to keep the skincare regime simple as it provides certain benefits of both products in a single all-purpose cream. It can contain natural ingredients such as beetroot, vitamin C, B3, and Glutathione. Some of its benefits would be as follows:

1. Giving you a youthful skin

2. Reducing hyperpigmentation

3. Getting rid of imperfections such as blemishes, dark spots, age spots, and freckles

4. Lightening the skin tone

How to choose the best face cream for night

Always look for a night cream which is light and is able to get deep into your skin. In contrast to this, a cream that remains on the surface will feel oily in the morning, giving you an uncomfortable feeling. Also, it should not contain UV protection at all. It is best to avoid alcohol-based creams for night application. Last but not the least, remember to choose one as per your skin type only. If you still have doubts, visit a skin expert first.
