It’s important to read the early signs of pregnancy when trying for a baby. While couples may not always get a single clear sign that conception has taken place, they may experience multiple signals along with a missed period.

When pregnant, one needs to follow the outlined drugs and treatment protocol to ensure that they’re on the right track to a healthy delivery. It’s also important to plan for any unexpected symptoms that may arise, as every pregnancy is unique. Listed below are the early pregnancy symptoms to track when trying for a baby:

Missed period

This is one of the key pregnancy symptoms, according to the experts at Famhealth. It’s one of the main indicators that couples need to track so that they’re prepared for the next stages in the process. Missing your period is a sign that you may be pregnant, which means that the egg has been fertilized. There may be slight bleeding after ten to fourteen days, which is an indicator of successful fertilization.

That’s why those who are trying to conceive, need to track the dates of their period, to understand when they should start testing. A missed period could also occur due to stress, as this could be an intensive process for both people.

Pre-pregnancy swelling

Swollen breasts, bloating, and overall puffiness can be a sign of pregnancy, which is why it’s a good secondary symptom to track. When feeling bloated, you can get yourself tested, as some can experience signs weeks after conception.

Tenderness and irritation upon touching can also be signs of a successful pregnancy. One needs to track the severity of the symptom to understand whether they’re pregnant. There may be hormonal shifts during this time, to prepare for the baby, because of which the swelling may increase over time.

Food aversions/Cravings

A missed period, along with key food aversions, could be a sign of pregnancy. When the mother is sensitive to certain types of food, they’re unable to be around that specific substance. They may feel sick being around certain foods or have strong cravings for food groups.

It’s important to follow a balanced diet during this period so that the mother has enough nutrition as the baby grows. Doctors recommend that cravings be followed early on, so that the mother’s mood is uplifted throughout the pregnancy.

Nausea and weakness

Nausea is also a strong indicator of pregnancy, especially when followed by vomiting. If the mother experiences consistent nausea and weakness, then medication may have to be prescribed by a doctor. If the mother also experiences constipation, then it could be a sign that the body is preparing itself for the gestation process as well.
