Drilling Mud Waste Management Technology at Domestic and Abroad

In the past decades, various kinds of measures were taken to reduce the influence of drilling waste to the environment in oil and gas industry. Drilling staff would take three stages of methods for drilling waste disposal: in the first stage, drilling process adjustment or proper drilling fluid is applied for drilling waste management; by doing so, the drilling cost is reduced and it is better for the environment. In the second stage, drilling waste will be recycled for second time usage; and in the third stage, drilling waste that cannot be recycled shall be disposed properly.

In designing the cuttings dryer, the main objective were developing an equipment capable of improving the separation efficiency compared to the usual solid control equipment,and DWM control VERTI-G cuttings dryer is reducing the amount of waste volume.DWM Solids control equipments of high-speed vertical centrifuge is saving the cost and the customer budget.An easy to use and maintain drilling mud solids control equipment were all the parts are accessible and can be cleaned and maintained.The safety of the operators and the personnel involved in the operation.

Drilling mud waste management technology at home and abroad at present, mainly include simple processing emissions, safe injection formation or well annular space, long-distance centralized processing, backfill, pit sealing, land farming, curing, a solid liquid separation, burning, microbial treatment, etc. However, these methods are basically a problem, economic and environmental benefits can't be both satisfactory on treatment effect and the processing cost. If it contracts low cost, then environmental requirements cannot meet the requirements.
