Dog Bite Occurs at Park City’s First Off-leash Dog Park

A woman was bit by a dog in Park City’s first off-leash dog park in January of 2016. This park was the first designated off-leash area in Park City, which is not far from Salt Lake City. The dog bite incident has caused many owners to return to keeping their dogs on leashes to protect themselves and their pets. The woman was not seriously injured, so she did not involve a lawyer.

The Incident

The dog park had recently opened two off-leash areas to the public. The incident occurred only four days after the new designated area opened. The woman who was attacked attempted to get information from the dog’s owner, but he refused and fled the scene. She called and reported the incident but ultimately chose not to involve a lawyer because she did not have any serious injuries.
