Does a Car Need to Change Oil After Being Stuck for a Long Period of Time?

by Grace V. Marketing

It is true that with this question, you will get a lot of different answers.  Changing the oil in your car is important for it to last long, but in time, your car’s oil will be contaminated with remnants such as dusts and dirt and when this happens and you neglect changing the car’s oil, it won’t be able to function properly.

Assuming your car is well maintained and you do this every now and then, you may still ask yourself, is there a need to change the oil if you are not using your car? Do you still need to change it if your car will be stuck in the garage for a long period of time?

The answer is, yes!

When you buy a car, always read the manual. Never think that you could just act based on someone else’s experiences or just because you heard others doing it and you copy them. Your car maybe due for a scheduled maintenance or oil change and what you need to do is to follow the schedule stated in your manual and be diligent enough to arrive as scheduled.

Your car’s life depends on how well you take care of it. My advice, if you’re not able to buy a car anytime soon or if your savings doesn’t permit it, make sure you bring your car for a scheduled maintenance or change oil. Trust me, it’s more economical.
