Being able to go out running is a liberating experience. You can plug yourself into your favorite music, tune out the rest of the world, and get the exercise that your job or home life doesn’t give you during the day. Of course, though, if you’re doing this at home on a treadmill, there are many distractions. So getting out on the open road is by far the best option when you want to do a spot of uninterrupted running. At least it would be if you could feel a bit safer while doing it.

Not everyone lives in a well lit area, and driving yourself to a track dedicated to runners may not be an option, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go out running and be safe and seen while doing it. Previously, however, that might have meant wearing the same sort of Hi Viz apparel that you’d have seen city workers wearing when working out on the streets. If not, it might have meant wearing something that, while keeping you safe from oncoming traffic, didn’t actually make you look stylish while you were running. This may have made the whole experience less than enjoyable. But that’s all about to change for you.

With glow technology becoming more and more popular, designers everywhere are using new high performance materials to enhance footwear, apparel and costume designs. Recently we have spotted many new designs featuring glow technology that are perfect for wearing at night. From a small accent to a bold statement, the addition of glow in the dark material helps make designs a lot brighter and safer in the darkness.

You can also design your own clothing or costumes at home using readily available glow rope trim and

glow ribbon materials. You will need a good sewing machine and a creative eye. But with a little effort many glowing designs are possible.  This means you can create your own unique Hi Viz look that is sporty or even formal, and still have that feeling of safety that comes from knowing that you’re visible to traffic, pedestrians and other runners.  In fact, it isn’t just restricted to clothing; you could make your own Hi Viz accessories too.

There are a number of options when it comes to the type of material or colors of glow in the dark trim or glow sheets that you can use, too. For instance, if you don’t mind doing a bit of dressmaking, then you can use luminous ribbon or cut out a design from the larger, fabric-like glow sheets. That way you can create an interesting and original piece of clothing. Or, if creating something from scratch isn’t really in your repertoire, then you can use the illuminating ribbon or rope trim to add a bit of reflective class to your garment.

The colors that you can choose from will vary depending on the type of glow material that you select, but you’ll have between four to six bright nightglow colors to give your new safety or sports clothing the sort of look that you want; and that you know others will see, when it really counts.

So, if being visible has been holding you back from getting the exercise that you need after a hard day’s work, or if you just want to create something stylish that will also keep you safe and seen when out in the dark, then head over to www.Lunabrite.com to see the types of material and colors they have to offer you. Who knows, you may even come up with other ideas on what you can do with these amazing glow materials – like how about using it in a kids bedroom instead of a night light?
