Discussions You Need To Have With Your Rental Service Provider

by Wave Construction Construction

Construction work is no joke; you need to bring in the big guns AKA heavy equipment to get the job done properly. The old fashioned way to complete a construction project was to buy your own heavy equipment. It wasn't the most practical way to operate, as getting your own equipment for a single project is an expensive option.

Now, however, the world is into outsourcing efforts. People opt to rent heavy equipment because; one; it's easier to have someone else do all the dirty work like maintaining, cleaning, and paying for insurance.  And two, it's easier to store because you don't have to think of it anymore once you’ve returned it.

Before you make a transaction with a construction equipment rental in the Philippines, you need to have these conversations with your service provider.

The duration of your rental period

Construction projects are bound to encounter quite a few hitches along the road, no pun intended. It's better to inform your rental service provider of possible extensions before the project even begins. That way, they can ensure the availability of their machines and scheduling with other clients is made more accessible. Also, if you finish your construction project ahead of time, you can return the machines early, instead of waiting for a slot where you can use them.

Damage control

We can't avoid it, accidents happen. And sometimes, machines get damaged. Ask your rental service provider about the damage protocol of the machines and if an insurance policy covers it. Have an agreed-upon arrangement in case the worst happens. Doing this saves you from trouble and a potential lawsuit.

The cost of renting the machines

Never be afraid to negotiate the cost of renting heavy equipment. You'll be surprised to find out that they're accommodating to clients when it comes to payment. If the construction project you're working on left you short on cash, ask about flexible payment methods such as paying via installment or post-dated cheques.

Safety precautions

It's the prerogative of the rental company to educate people working on the construction site on how to operate the machines. However, more often than not, the rental service provider also sends an operator along with the machine. You should also discuss an emergency protocol in case of injury.

It's always good to have all the information on your chosen heavy equipment rental service in the Philippines beforehand because operations and clean up become much simpler.
