Whether it’s during the holiday season, or just an ordinary day, many of us enjoy what a good sale has to offer! However, it is most common to assume that there is more to the deal then what’s explained.  When it comes to discount furniture sales and promotions, it is important that we look at the misconceptions that we hear.

Here are the top 5 misconceptions of sale promotions.

Misconception #1: Discount furniture stores aren’t credible. They Promote " False Advertisement”!

Most people believe that furniture companies advertise with a misleading approach. For example, let’s say the company is advertising and 12 PC bedroom set and displays a photo of the complete set. Now, the average customer would assume that all the items in the photo is covered through the promotion, but it’s not!  When it comes to sales promotion, discount furniture stores are credible, and they don’t false advertise. Typically, what happens is the consumer neglects to read the fine print. Although reading the small print is not always in the next person interest, it is super beneficial to do so because it gives a detailed description on what all is included in the promotional sale, and what’s not.

Misconception #2: There is no " discount" because the item is too high in price and even on sale,

The item is still high in price.

Often times, consumers believe that a furniture item is not qualified to be considered a sale item due to its expensive cost. However, that is not true. In fact, the easiest way to determine if the company is accurate or not is to simply do the math.  For instance, if the furniture company implies that there is a 50% discount, then take the original price, and subtract 50%.  Nine times out of ten, the discounted cost will always accumulate to the promoted discount cost.

Misconception #3: The furniture on promoted on sales are either recycled, old, or trash.

It has no value and is useless.

Contrary to common belief, discount furniture stores promote sales on specific items because they are new arrivals, not old, trash, useless, and not valued!  For business purposes, it is most beneficial to advertise new products for a low and an affordable price. Typically, because it’s what the consumer wants, not the opposite.

Misconception #4:  Sales advertisement is a scam.

Most consumers trust that discount furniture advertisements of sales are a scam because once they speak with a sales associate, they explain the discount/sale in a completely different way in which it was advertised.  Yet, that is not true. Promotional sales in the advertisements are true to its word! Any consumer could easily transport to the store, inquire about the selected furniture they are interested in, and receive the exact discount promoted.

Misconception #5: The Promotions are only offered online or in store/vice versa.

The average customer would believe that the promotional sale is only offered on the source where they found out about it. However, it is almost unrealistic for that to happen. Most of the time furniture discount stores promotional sales are offered both in-store and online (cohesively).

P.S.

With these misconceptions in mind, it is extremely important to understand that none of them hold truth. Furniture discount stores operate with the intent to serve through the customers best interest.
