Digital Marketing Strategies That Will Help Expand Your Law Firmby Disability Law Marketing Disability Law Marketing
For law firms, there’s one thing that’s becoming as important as your reputation and the quality of your service: your digital marketing strategy. It used to be that when people required legal services, they went to an attorney whose office was as close as possible to where they lived. Now, with so many options available online, people have the means to shop around, and the market for lawyers is much more competitive as a result. This means that unless you can show that you have something unique to offer, you’ll get left in the dust — and conversely, if you can step up your digital marketing efforts, you have the opportunity to attract many more clients and grow your business.
So what does digital marketing for law firms look like? Here are a few strategies to help expand your firm:
1. Work on your website
These days, it’s not just necessary to have a website — that site has to be aesthetically pleasing, deliver the information that clients are looking for and be easy to find, all at the same time. The last factor has to do with search engine optimization (see below), but for the first two factors, work on your website and make sure that it’s visually appealing as well as informative. Remember some graphic design rules: keep it simple, make your objective clear and don’t get cluttered.
2. Keep up with social media
Social media is ubiquitous, but for law firms, it’s not just about how frequently you post — it’s how well you can use it. Use social media to engage your followers, provide updates and share testimonials from satisfied clients. And use different platforms differently — for example, Facebook might be a good place to share upcoming contests, while Instagram can be good for client testimonials if you also have good photos to share.
3. Learn how to use SEO
Search engine optimization, or SEO, is how your website shows up in search engine results. The more you use certain keywords, the higher up in the results your site will appear when users search for those keywords — so make sure you figure out what your SEO strategy is and incorporate the right keywords into your blog posts and website copy.
