For a fresh embryo transfer, the egg donor or the intended mother and the surrogate must take take hormone pills simultaneously so as to synchronize their cycles. There are situations when embryos are thawed, the surrogate should take hormone medication that prepares the lining of uterus for embryo transfer.

Success rate of IVF depends on certain factors like age and health of the egg donor or a surrogate.

Independent Surrogacy:

Much like the traditional form of surrogacy, independent surrogacy is fraught with legal risks. An independent surrogate works without any support or endorsement of any agency.
