by Ankita Sehgal Freelance Blogger, Lives in New Delhi
Window condensation is very irritating and damages your home especially if you have older windows no matter if they are uPVC windows in Delhi, Mumbai, or any other famous place. This process damages traditional frame molding and plastering. Sometimes excessive moisture inside your home causes interior condensation damages not only areas around the window but your entire home. There are multiple things you could do to reduce the condensation and protect the windows. Sometimes, condensation may happen in between the window panes when the seal between them is broken or when the desiccant inside the windows is saturated.

Damage Control For Condensation In Between Window Panes

 Haziness between window panes might be caused by condensation or because of the buildup of materials like grease. So, keep cleaning the window panes including the corners.

 But if the damage is done and there is no condensation, replacing the window panes or the window is the only option. You can buy good quality of uPVC windows in Delhi or any other place nearby.

Damage Control For Interior Condensation

 If you observe condensation in your kitchen, bathroom, or nursery, just switch off the humidifier which is the main reason for this. Most of the people use humidifiers which can be switched off so that less moisture is released into the air and can reduce condensation. Buying a dehumidifier can also help you in reducing the condensation.

 You can buy moisture eliminating products like damping rid which are available in buckets to keep and in bags to hang. These remove excess moisture from the air wherever you keep them as the kitchen, closet, or bathroom.

 BY keeping the ceiling fans switched on during winters, you can get rid of moisture as they circulate air and pushes warm air back down to the floor from the ceiling.

 If it is not too cold or if you can tolerate the temperature, you can keep the windows open which helps in sending out the trapped warm air outside the house.

 The temperature on the windows can be raised to reduce condensation which can be done by slightly increasing the temperature of the house. For this, you can use curtains, drapes, blinds, or something similar. You can also add energy efficient weather stripping to your windows for the same purpose.

 If you have a habit of keeping plants near windows, you can shift them to another place as they release moisture into the air.
