One of the major attractions of this place are Lake District national park which gets millions of visitors throughout the year. Most of the cumbrian populace serve in the tourism industry due to such huge influx of tourists to this destination. The most famous of the numerous sightseeing locations in Cumbria are Lakes Aquarium, Furness Abbey, South lakes wild animal park, Tullie house Museum and Art Gallery, Muncaster castle, Beatrix Potter Gallery, Dock Museum and much more. Whenever you plan to visit this place do keep in mind that this is not a place where all the sightseeing would be over in a day or two, you need to have atleast a week of vacation to experience this place to the fullest.

Due to the hustle bustle of the tourists in the region all through the year, you would find a variety of country pubs and restaurants here. But, this also means that you need to book your stay well in advance to avoid disappointment of getting no room if you just gate crash to any hotel or even if you manage to get one, you would have to pay a hefty price.

Country Pub Restaurants in Cumbria - In case you aren't aware pub is the short form for public house and is a drinking establishment which is an integral or rather fundamental part of British culture and many others too. In villages of Britain particularly they are the spirit of the town, where people come in to relax and spend a few hours of leisure and refreshment away from the hustle bustle and stress of daily routines. Most of the country pubs offer wines, spirits, soft drinks and beer. There are many a country pubs in Cumbria which serve the finest beverages in England and have fantastic interiors and décor. A fireplace, wooden stuff and music in the interiors for cozy winter evenings and serving amongst the lush green and flowery exteriors in the sunny summers where you spend time watch the world go by is generally the ambience of country pubs. It is said that long time ago during the days of World War II, the English soldiers would take pictures of the country pub of their town and it would keep reminding them that they were fighting for their motherland.
