Cracking The Duvet Cover DIY Code
Getting a duvet cover on is not as complicated as rocket science but it can get very tricky and is potentially and irritating job. It may sound easy and a simple task but it is when you get down doing it yourself that you realize that there is more than that meets eyes. Cracking this DIY code may seem difficult at outset but all it needs is some proper shaking and pulling to get it correct and our following list doesn’t include tricks or strange stuffing. Read on to get a thorough understanding of putting on a duvet cover:
- Spread Duvet out
One of first steps should be to get a duvet cover that aligns with size of your comforter – it should neither be too big and obviously nor too short. Next you need to spread duvet out on bed with top corners within your grasp and openings at bottom nearest to you. - Open Duvet cover
Next in line will be to open up all buttons and closures to ensure that none of these buttons break or pop out while putting it on comforters. Once you are done with this, next you will need to shake off cover so that it is flat and free of almost all wrinkles present on it. Usually though all small wrinkles on cover get worn out within couple of days of use. - Turning cover inside out
Post shaking off all wrinkles from cover, go for turning duvet cover completely inside out; you can do this by reaching up to and grasping corners from inside. Ideally cover should now be bunched up in your arms. - Hold Duvet
Now get hold of top two corners of duvet over duvet cover and then holding it tightly you need to lift duvet as high as possible to shake it below over comforter. - Rest it down
You are almost there; now that half duvet is filled place it down carefully ensuring that this half-filled section is not disturbed in anyways. After which you can easily pull remaining of duvet cover down to conceal remaining portion of comforter by filling bottom two corners. - Finishing Touches
Now place duvet on your bed again making sure there are no lumps of duvet within bunched at edge or middle section, and then you can close buttons or closures at bottom to seal of cover.
If done completely in a correct manner duvet should be flat inside free of any wrinkles and bunching within. To ensure that you get the best results you should press duvet flat before starting off making entire process much easier.
