Autism is a health condition that affects babies, toddlers, infants and even grown up children. However, it is quite impossible to locate the signs of autism in the child until your baby reaches the age of three. In many instances, we see how babies go undiagnosed with this health condition. Signs of autism with interaction and communication


Autism can create a major impact on the interaction and communication capabilities of your child. Here are some of the associated symptoms.

  1. Your child will fail to respond to his name when you say it.
  2. Your child will resist holding and cuddling. Instead, he will prefer to spend time alone on his own. He will get lost in his own world and spend most of his time.
  3. You will not be able to get any excellent facial expressions from a child who is affected with autism. He will fail to make eye contact. On the other hand, you will not be able to get any facial expressions from the child as well.
  4. Your child will not speak as other children. He will have a delayed speech. On the other hand, he will lose the ability to say sentences or words as well. Even when your child is speaking, you will hear that from an abnormal rhythm or tone. You will feel like your child is a robot at the time of speaking. You can hear lots of repetitive words and phrases.
  5. Your child will not be able to express feelings or emotions.
  6. The child will not seem to understand even simple directions and questions that you throw on his way.

Patterns of behavior


There are certain patterns of behavior, you can use in order to understand autism in your child. Following are the most common signs associated with it.

  1. Your child will have repetitive and limited patterns.
  2. You will notice how the child is performing activities, which can create harm. For example, you will be able to see him banging his head. Likewise, you can also see how your child is biting himself.
  3. A child affected with autism will go ahead and develop specific rituals and routines. When these are disturbed even at a slight degree, you will notice how the child is acting disturbed.
  4. In a child with autism, you will see problems with related to coordination. For example, you can see how your child is having odd movement patterns. He will walk on his toes. On the other hand, you can expect to find clumsiness on the child, especially in body language.
