CMAT 2016 Result / scorecard

CMAT 2016 Result is scheduled to be released on 21 January 2016 by its exam governing body, AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education). The exam was conducted on 17 January 2016 to offer admission to interested and eligible candidates in MBA postgraduate program in the participating government/private business schools. All the candidates who appeared in the examination can visit the official website of AICTE and check their performance in the form of marks. The direct link of checking the result cum scorecard will also be hosted on Entrancecorner for the sake of convenience of the candidates. Method of Checking Result of AICTE CMAT 2016

To check the CMAT 2016 Result cum scorecard, candidates are required to access a computer system equipped with internet connection. They have to visit the official website of AICTE CMAT or Entrancecorner for checking the result. On the homepage of the official website, they need to search the link corresponding to result and merit list. Once the link is found and clicked, a PDF file will be downloaded to the computer system. This list will contain names of the candidates selected for next round of admission process. If a candidate’s roll number is present, it implies he has been selected for the next round. To download the scorecard, candidate can login his account and download the marks statement.

Some Characteristics of CMAT 2016 Result

It is to be noted that AICTE will not send result cum scorecard to any candidate’s postal address. It can only be checked in online mode on the official website. All the participating business schools will consider scorecard and its various details – sectional score, aggregate score, percentile score, and all India rank, to determine admission suitability. Higher the score implies better position at gaining allotment in the desired college and course. The scorecard will also be required at the time of document/certificate verification where candidate’s authenticity will be established hence it must be preserved in best of the condition till the final allotments are made and enrollment is done.

CMAT 2016 Exam Result – Score Assessment Method

• As per the exam pattern, 4 marks will be assigned for correct answer and 1 mark will be cut for incorrect answer.
  
• Net positive score will be obtained by the following formula: (4 x number of correct answers – 1 x number of incorrect answers).
  
• Based on the score obtained and exam and session difficulty level, a percentile score will be assigned to the candidate.
  
• Percentile will be calculated according to the formula: ((N- candidate’s rank)/ N) x 100, where N is the number of appearing candidates.
  
• Arrangement of candidates in the merit list for next round of admission process OR allotment will be done in the percentile decreasing order.
  
• Candidates selected from the CMAT 2016 Result will be asked to appear in group exercise, written ability test, and personal interview.
  
• There are around 1000 business schools that will accept the score of the exam to offer admission in MBA postgraduate program.
