A variety of IP network surveillance cameras housings are easily to install and helps protect CCTV security camera systems from vandalism, tampering and also from harsh conditions such as extreme dust, moisture,  weather, humidity and others.

Vandal-Resistant Housings

For IP surveillance cameras in vulnerable areas, vandal-proof housing is an excellent idea. Both indoor and outdoor surveillance applications are available and metal construction typically sturdy in feature. This is an impact resistant dome and has tamper resistant screws.

Fixed IP Camera Housings

Fixed CCTV security camera systems are designed to offer protection. These housings are available for indoor and outdoor surveillance. They also work to protect or cover network surveillance cameras and it comes with various forms of mounting on walls and ceilings.

Outdoor Housings

CCTV security camera systems housings for outdoor are built to be weatherproof. They are resistant to moisture and has an even feature built-in fans heaters for both cold and hot environments sometimes. Its housings handles different camera types such as fixed IP surveillance cameras and PTZ domes, and it comes in different sizes too. Also vandal proof versions are available for hostile environments.

Sensor Size

CCTV security camera systems are built with image sensors in a variety of sizes (2/3, 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4-inch). IP surveillance cameras lenses are designed to work with these kinds of sensors and get optimal image quality without black corners (lost information). It is best to use a lens that is the same size as the sensor. The size of your sensor is important when figuring out CCTV security camera systems considerations.

Lens Types

Many video surveillance cameras for different surveillance applications accept interchangeable lenses most of the time. Choosing the right camera lens for your network security camera systems software need several factors to consider:

Focal Length

What determines the field of horizontal view in a certain distance is the focal length. When the field of view narrows, the focal length gets longer. The lens can be either automatic iris control or manual iris control. Automatic Iris Control Lenses such as DC auto iris are use in outdoor applications and its locations where light can change dramatically throughout the day. Manual Iris control is lens set to an average value to be used in various light conditions. The lens is able to adjust as the light changes.

Iris

The iris in the network camera lens is adjusted on the amount of light that passes through and that is its role.

F-number

Lens f-number determines the amount of light admitted to the sensor.  The smaller f-number, the more light enters the sensor. While low f-numbers allows better images quality in low-light situations.

H.264

H.264 is latest video compression standard and improves Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 in significantly reducing digital file sizes, but it doesn’t take out image quality. The benefits of H.264 include bandwidth costs, reduced storage and higher resolution frame rate. It also improved megapixel camera performance.
