by Paul Busby CEO @Viezu

Although you have been an average student throughout your studies, but, like other students, you always had a dream of enjoying the fame and luxurious life, by stepping in the profession that offers you both these things without undergoing any tough competition. Interestingly, in the current scenario, there are lots of professions which could help you in achieving your objective by just undergoing the five day or three day training according to your interest. The worth mentioning feature of these professions is that with changing time, they have also undergone vast changes and now the youths are proudly adopting these professions as the source of their livelihood.

Well, without discussing much let us come directly to the point. You will agree that as a general practice the job of car technician is regarded as the low profile job, and the persons stepping in this profession are mainly least qualified. But, interestingly, this concept has become a folklore in the current scenario. Because, with the changing time, there is a change in the methods of car production and now there is a huge demand of the technicians who are well versed with the use of computers for controlling the mechanism of car and carry a necessary certificate before starting to work a car technician.

This, although, sounds unrealistic, but, interestingly, it has the reality of today’s scenario. It is mainly because of the expectations of the motorists from their car. You will agree that for a layman buying a car is a lifetime investment and therefore, they prefer to buy a car which offers them the privilege of enjoying comfort driving and superior performance, at an affordable price. But, due to the regular wear and tear there is a decline in the performance and they are compelled to invest extra money towards its maintenance, which directly affects their pocket. To get rid of this problem, the only solution is to tune the car, which is mainly related with tuning the engine control unit of the vehicle.

The engine control unit or ECU is computer controlled device installed at the on-board diagnostic port (OBD) of the car. The device has software that controls the working of all the components through sensors. As the whole process of car tuning is computerized, there is a requirement of the technicians who are computer literate and aware of using the software used for tuning the ECU. Going through this necessity the youths willing to work has the car technician have to undergo the car tuning training, by making the use of computer software.

An interesting fact about the training course of the car tuning is that it is  beneficial not only for the prospective technicians, but also for the people already working as technicians. Because, as the process of using the computer is quite complex, requiring from finding the maps determining the functionality of different components and re-writing them, the technicians have to learn the process by undergoing the necessary training under real conditions by making use of tools like rolling roads, and 3000 hp dyno.

While discussing the modalities of car tuning training course is that depending upon the interest of the students, the training courses are initiated individually for diesel and gasoline engines. Moving ahead, the duration of the courses also varies from three to five day courses. The three day course are mainly for the petrol and diesel engine, while the students undergoing the five day course are jointly taught the methods of tuning  both the diesel or gasoline vehicle, whichever is brought at their workshop.

In simple words it can be said that courses like car tuning have given new dimensions to the profession of car technicians, which offer them to strengthen their roots in the world of cars as an expert technician.
