Can NRI apply for a PAN card without an AADHAR card?
by Vanshika S. SEO ExecutiveHow to apply for a
PAN card from the UAE?
The system of the
government of India has undergone several changes since the new BJP leader came
on the throne. In 2017, the link of PAN and
AADHAR had become a necessary aspect to alert when fraud
or evasion happens. This system also makes it more difficult for Indian
Citizens who live abroad to apply for a new PAN card in Dubai.
The Problem
The Indian
department of income tax does not recognize fine distinctions for people like
non-resident Indians and overseas citizens of India, including people of Indian
origin. So, you can definitely apply for a PAN card in UAE if you are a
citizen or a non-citizen, and you will have to fill respective forms 49A and
49AA. If you are a citizen of India living outside and do not have an Aadhar
Card, you might be in a slumber.
From the 1st of
July 2017, every Indian applicant applying for a PAN card application from
UAE will definitely have to list the number of their Aadhar card on the
form. To qualify, you have to spend at least 182 days of the previous year in
the country of India. For people who live abroad but possess an Indian
Passport, you will have to spend six months at the very least in India before
you are eligible to apply for an Aadhar, and that you have to use it with a
PAN.
TIN, a plausible
solution
But, the TIN helpline in UAE states that there
is a possible way for you to acquire a PAN even if you do not have Aadhar as an
NRI without wasting a lot of money and time. The Alankit UAE procedure
is slightly more elaborate and costs a little more than the usual amount but
can help you get your PAN card. The department of Income Tax in India has
permitted the processing of PAN applications to outsourcing agencies.
The foremost that hosts this feature belongs to the Tax Information Network,
owned by the Income Tax Department of India.
Indian citizens who
live in or outside India will have to follow the guideline and use the form 49A. When the NRI
tries to apply for a PAN card in Dubai online, a general roadblock they
might encounter is the primary choice for ID, address, and Birth proof are
Aadhar. The main option they will have been to download the said form and then
mail them to the office physically.
You can find two
important steps in the process. First, you have to leave the Aadhar number
section unfilled, and secondly, you can use your Bank Account statement less
than three months old as proof of your address. Besides filing taxes, you will
need a PAN card in UAE for most bank transactions, opening new accounts,
or safely depositing. It is also a crucial element of most transactions if you
sell jewellery, land, or other expensive assets. Finally, a PAN card is
especially essential for investing in any sort, such as mutual funds,
debentures, or Indian stocks.
However, it is
always recommended to apply from a registered and trusted agency like Alankit. With 13 years of
industry knowledge in the UAE, Alankit is one of the top PAN Card
Facilitation Agencies. They have a 21 million overall customer base across the
