Even though celebrities appear to live the glamorous lifestyle with fame, money and designer clothes, disasters can still strike them and their shiny new Lamborghinis. Whether a fatal accident occurs in Salt Lake City or on the East Coast, a wrongful death lawyer is there to help recover damages for anyone—celebrity or not.

Tragedy unfolded for Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner—currently known as Caitlyn Jenner after undergoing gender reassignment. The fatal chain-reaction crash occurred on the Golden State’s Pacific Coast Highway last February. Jenner’s SUV rear-ended a Lexus sedan sending it into oncoming traffic. The Lexus collided with a Hummer H2 in the opposite lane which killed its 69-year-old driver Kim Howe. Jenner’s SUV then crashed into a stopped Prius that was originally ahead of the Lexus.

Furthermore, the crash hospitalized five children and two adults with injuries from the pile-up. Jenner voluntarily took a sobriety test after questioning by authorities and passed. Though not all car crashes occurring in Salt Lake City or the East Coast result in legal action, lawsuits were filed against the recently transgendered celebrity with the help of a wrongful death lawyer.

Howe’s stepchildren and Jessica Steindorff—the driver of the halted Prius—sued Jenner with separate lawsuits. CNN reported Steindorff’s, “lawsuit claims that Jenner operated a vehicle negligently, carelessly, recklessly and wantonly.” Both lawsuits seek unspecified damages for injuries sustained in the accident.

Recently, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced that Jenner would not be charged for a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the case. Prosecutors claimed there was a lack of evidence proving Jenner’s driving was negligent even with Howe’s wrongful death. Compared to the busy streets of the West Coast, Salt Lake City roads may appear less chaotic, but no road has a permanent green light for safety. Alert driving and proper safety precautions will help keep drivers and passengers safe while traveling to various destinations, unlike Jenner’s automotive disaster.

Although the 1976 Olympic decathlon star will not be charged for vehicular manslaughter, she will still face the two lawsuits in the future. Even for Jenner, she will need the aid of a lawyer to help settle the multimillion-dollar lawsuits against her.

Celebrity or not, no one is exempt from experiencing an automotive accident requiring the beneficial aid from a wrongful death lawyer. Whether one is driving the daily Salt Lake City route to work or taking a road trip from coast-to-coast, practicing safe driving techniques will keep every life safe while driving on the roads.
