British Columbia PNP Invites 70 Foreign Tech Workers to Apply for Provincial Nomination
The British
Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducts specialized ‘tech draws’
to identify and nominate eligible skilled workers who have a valid job offer from
a B.C. employer in one of the 29 key technology occupations. Foreign skilled
workers and international graduates are recruited to fill job vacancies in
these occupations.
In order to
be considered, aspirants must register online under a BC PNP stream that they
are eligible for. Under each stream, candidates are attributed a point score
based on various selection factors. Those who can fulfill the minimum point
requirement – which varies with each draw – are invited to apply for nomination
through regular draws. Nominees can apply for permanent residence to IRCC.
On 14th
January 2020, the Tech Draw invited 70 candidates who scored 90 or more points
under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams of the Skills
Immigration and Express Entry System categories.
